Hi, I'm Max! I've spent my entire life around dogs. For 17 years, my best friend was Trooper — and losing him recently reminded me just how profound the bond between a person and their dog truly is.
I live in a spacious three-bedroom home in beautiful Encinitas, with a large backyard perfect for play, naps in the sun, and zoomies. When your pup stays with me, they're not in a kennel — they're in a home, with a person who genuinely loves dogs.
I provide specialized care for dogs at every stage of life — from energetic puppies who need extra patience and structure, to senior dogs who deserve a gentler pace, attentive comfort, and a little extra love.
I'm also a semi-professional photographer, so every overnight stay comes with professional photos of your dog — because those moments deserve to be remembered beautifully.

Happy Families
Max took care of our golden retriever, Biscuit, for a full week while we were in Hawaii. Not only did she come home calm and happy (which never happens after a kennel stay), but Max sent us the most incredible photos every single day. One of them is now framed in our living room. We will never use anyone else.
I was nervous leaving my rescue dog with anyone new — she can be anxious. Max was so patient and communicative the entire time. By day two, she was sleeping on his couch like she owned the place.
The photos alone are worth it. Max captured my dog in ways I've never seen. He has a real gift — both for photography and for making animals feel at ease. Highly, highly recommend.
